This clever book cover for Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 was designed by Elizabeth Perez. The classic dystopian novel is set in a world where intellectual thought is prohibited and books are burned by “firemen”. In keeping with the theme of censorship, the surface of the book’s spine is screen-printed with matchbook striking paper, should you ever want to set the book aflame (though I would never condone such a thing).
What are your thoughts on this cover?

What a great and modern cover for a classic!
Hi, Allison! Thanks for stopping by. I completely agree!
THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME! I want to own this.
Thanks for stopping by, Cassie! I want a copy as well – it happens to be one of my favourite books!
Ooooh Yesss…. I love the look of this book cover!! The fact that it’s so symbolic of the good is pretty darn clever too!
oooooh yesss!!! I love this cover of this book – it’s so fresh, yet so powerful. Especially since you gave a short description of the book (which I have not read yet), and the matchbook spine is so fitting! Not going to lie, it kind of excites and intrigues me!!
