Cover of the Day: Fahrenheit 451

Image

This clever book cover for Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 was designed by Elizabeth Perez. The classic dystopian novel is set in a world where intellectual thought is prohibited and books are burned by “firemen”. In keeping with the theme of censorship, the surface of the book’s spine is screen-printed with matchbook striking paper, should you ever want to set the book aflame (though I would never condone such a thing).

What are your thoughts on this cover?

  1. oooooh yesss!!! I love this cover of this book – it’s so fresh, yet so powerful. Especially since you gave a short description of the book (which I have not read yet), and the matchbook spine is so fitting! Not going to lie, it kind of excites and intrigues me!!
